Season 7 OpenerNew Rules, New Action!

A brand new set rules, an injury plagued roster, and veteran skaters coming out of retirement made the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz Season 7 Home Opener a fist pounding, nail biting crowd pleaser this weekend at the Coliseum.

Sioux Falls' first bout of 2013 saw both Dusty Bibles and Hollicidal Maniac playing solid offense in their return to the Dollz line up for some inter-league play against I-29 rivals, The Sioux City Roller Dames.

Even though the Dollz were behind in points, with several skaters fresh off of injuries, they were knockin' down the Dames. "You (Dollz) hit hard" one Sioux City skater remarked after the final whistle. Bonebrakeher laid out more than one Dame as well as being on the receiving end of the Dollz sneaky Star Pass and wearing the Pivot Panty jam after jam.  Bonebrakeher's plays no doubt earned her the MVP Blocker for Sioux Falls.

Pyramid blocking played a big role in the defensive strategy for both teams, looking to utilize both skill and strength. Veteran Skaters Jackie O'Smashus, Frenchi FistFighter, and BAC driving the Roller Dollz defense…backwards none the less.

Sioux Falls' crowd favorite Julia Wild did not disappoint… racking up 18 points in a couple of jams. And just entering her sophomore season, Christy Nail'her secured Lead Jammer more than once, and the MVP Jammer for Sioux Falls.
